St. Paul’s Organ

  • The organ loft was redesigned and a new organ 
installed in 1963 by Keates (later 
Keates-Geissler)
  • 50 speaking stops on 5 divisions (4 
manuals, 1 pedal board)
  • 2,598 pipes, all at the front except 
those of the Positiv (4th manual), 
which are on the back wall in balcony 

  • Pipes range in length from 2 inches 
to 16 feet!
  • Horizontal copper trumpets were 
added in 1988, thought to be the only 
horizontal trumpets between Toronto 
and Ottawa (gift of the Choir)
  • Unseen vertical trumpets are inside 
the case (pipe chamber)
