Jonathan Baird
The Rev. Jonathan Baird was born in Canada and at the age of two moved to Scotland with his parents and his two sisters. As a teenager, Jonathan returned once again to Canada with his parents. Jonathan and his wife, Penny will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year and they have three children; Stephanie, Joshua and Ashley. Jonathan and Penny also fostered for three different agencies over a period of 12 years.
Jonathan and Penny have been involved in foreign mission outreaches and medical trips to different nations in the Caribbean. Jonathan was a member of a Baptist church for almost 15 years before being called back to the Presbyterian Church and full time ministry. At this time, Jonathan became a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Lakefield. Up until recently, Jonathan worked in the Social Services field, primarily with children and families.
Jonathan gives the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for bringing him to this point in his life and is thankful to God for the love and support of his family and friends. He is also thankful for many teachers and mentors, in the Lord who, over the years have helped to shape who he is today. Jonathan is eager to help the congregation of St. Paul’s Peterborough to continue to serve the Lord wholeheartedly in the local congregation, the surrounding community and around the world.
